VIVO Natural Products was founded in 2007 with the mission of creating fine bar soaps
from high quality, natural ingredients, which in turn produce wonderful showering experiences.
Each bar of soap we sell is made with 100% pure, unrefined shea butter, which is
purchased from a cooperative of women farmers in West Africa. This concept, which
we often refer to as "Personal Care. Global Impact." applies to all that we do- it very
simply means that we will use nature's best ingredients to make skin nourishing
products AND we seek out suppliers for our raw materials in underdeveloped
countries- folks that hand prepare ingredients- not large multinational corporations
that take natural and turn it into chemical.
Our goal is to make showering exciting, nurture your skin (which afterall, is the single
largest organ of your body) and help promote entrepreneurial activity around the world.

Social Entrepreneurship our way of saying: "You can help improve the world by showering."
That is an idea worth exploring. VIVO Natural Products believes in the "teach a man to fish" adage,
and is therefore committed to using a globally sourced ingredient in each of its products- an exotic natural oil,
a plant extract, or 100% pure shea butter- which we use in every one of our bar soap blends.
The background on globally sourced ingredients is simple: buy ingredients from poor entrepreneurs
(most often they are farmers and harvesters) in underdeveloped countries because they do the best job
preparing them AND we can help them overcome poverty.
VNPs founder spent months learning about microfinance- the business of providing small
loans to very poor entrepreneurs in underdeveloped countires (the 3rd world). He further
developed the concept for "Personal Care. Global Impact." with the help of Dr. Yunus,
the founder of Grameen Bank.
